Acrylic Painting

This course has no current classes. Please join the waiting list.

Learn how to use your paints and brushes to bring out the artist in you. Acrylic paint is an easy inexpensive medium. Come and surprise yourself and take home you masterpiece.

Requirements:

  • Paper towel, work shirt, gloves, table easel (if you have one), work cloth or newspaper, chalk

1 x stretch canvas to suit your painting
1 x disposable palette
1 x metal palette knife
1 x lead pencil (HB)
1 x eraser
1 x A4 sketch pad or paper
2 x glass jars
1 x acrylic sealer(if acrylic sealer not available can use 1 x can of clear spray paint)
acrylic paints: the three primary colours warm red, warm yellow and a cool blue-black, and white. If you have any extra colours, bring those along also.

Please note:

  • Sometimes a course is either postponed or cancelled if there is not enough enrolments.. It is therefore wise to purchase your requirements after you have confirmed with us that your class is running (usually within three working days of the proposed start date).

At Atwea College we offer a wide variety of Business, Lifestyle & Leisure courses at various locations throughout Newcastle, the Hunter Region and the Mid North Coast.
Course enrolment must be accompanied by a fee; we are unable to hold places for people or accept deposits on Lifestyle courses. Once enrolment is completed students will receive a course confirmation either in writing or by email. This course confirmation constitutes a receipt.
Please check your confirmation letter to ensure you have the correct time, date and location of your course as well as any necessary requirements. There is a room directory located at each venue directing you to your classroom. Parking fees may apply at some venues.
