Acrylic Maximalism Painting

The direct opposite of minimalism!!! Large bright colourful designs and pattern played against each other Makes a big statement, quite a new form of painting style only around 50 years or so. We will work on a large stretched canvas.

Requirements

  • Stretched canvas about 90cm -up to 140cm
  • Large bottles or tubes of acrylic paints in red, yellow, blue, black or white.
  • Sharpies in black, red, blue & any others you may have
  • Paint shirt
  • Work cloth or newspaper
  • Pencil and paper
  • 2 jars
  • Paper towel
  • Disposable gloves
  • Any brushes you have plus a sponge of any type, 1’flat taklon brush, no 6 round taklon brush, Monte mart is a suitable brand from the dollar shops for all materials
  • Cloth or news paper to put work on in you car to take home

Please note:

  • Sometimes a course is either postponed or cancelled if there is not enough enrolments.. It is therefore wise to purchase your requirements after your class has been confirmed (usually within three working days of the proposed start date).

At Atwea College we offer a wide variety of Business, Lifestyle & Leisure courses at various locations throughout Newcastle, the Hunter Region and the Mid North Coast.
Course enrolment must be accompanied by a fee; we are unable to hold places for people or accept deposits on Lifestyle courses. Once enrolment is completed students will receive a course confirmation either in writing or by email. This course confirmation constitutes a receipt.
Please check your confirmation letter to ensure you have the correct time, date and location of your course as well as any necessary requirements. There is a room directory located at each venue directing you to your classroom. Parking fees may apply at some venues.
