Moving to Awaken the Senses (Expressive Movement) - New!

This course has no current classes. Please join the waiting list.

Expressive Movement workshop: A curious inquiry into sensing.

Lens of exploration: moving to awaken our senses. Fostering presence, self-awareness, curiosity and reflection, while moving through human developmental movement patterns. Explore the; flowing in and flowing out of breath; core of the body, curling, centering and contracting; spine, propelling, holding, spiralling, and supporting; distal body parts, reaching, venturing, leading and articulating; and integration of body parts, falling, catching and connecting. Feel your moving self.

Expressive Movement: connecting body, mind and wellness using a somatic, conceptual and creative approach to movement. Movement sessions offering group, dyad and solo embodied experientials to develop bodyfulness, through mindful attention during action. This program uses therapeutic principles, to facilitate giving physical shape and form to human thoughts, emotions and life experience. Movers are invited to a held, safe, welcoming and positive movement space, supported by group members. No movement experience necessary, just a curiosity to explore and move.

Face to face

2 Hours: exploration through a selected lens for deep understanding, embodiment and enrichment. There will be time to rest and reflect and the pace will be self-regulated.
