Disability Skills Set

Assessments are made against units of competency.
  • Support community participation and social inclusion (CHCDIS003)
  • Contribute to ongoing skills development using a strengths-based approach (CHCDIS001)
  • Facilitate the empowerment of people with disability (CHCDIS007)
  • Follow established person-centred behaviour supports (CHCDIS002)

Do you want to start a career in Disability? Do you see the possibility of working in the NDIS? Do you already work in Disability and wish to progress in your chosen career? Or perhaps you work in Aged Care and want to gain knowledge and skills so you can work in Disability too? This short course is for you. Get the skills to grow in your career. This qualification is delivered by Atwea College as a Blended course 1 day per week for 10 weeks. You will be supported to complete 60hrs of work experience with a Disability Service. No fees if eligible for subsidy.
