Qualifications:
Michelle holds both BA (Hons) (Sociology) and LLB (Hons) from the University of Newcastle, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40110).
Experience:
Since leaving university Michelle has worked as a practising solicitor, legal publishing editor, current awareness news editor, senior legislation editor, leader of a legislation team of 10 and a trainer guiding new editors in their legal publishing roles. More recently Michelle has been tutoring and mentoring university and HSC students in the areas of Law, Sociology and in Essay Writing.
Achievements:
Michelle completed a thesis and was awarded Class I Honours in her Bachelor of Arts degree. She was also awarded the Hunter Water Corporation Prize for Environmental Law.
Teaching Style:
Michelle’s teaching style is patient and calm and she is open for questions and interaction during workshop sessions. She likes to keep notes to a minimum and to explain ideas and concepts clearly with the aim that students leave the classroom with a sense of peace and satisfaction regarding the knowledge they’ve gained.
Something Unique:
Michelle also holds a Diploma in Astrology through the Federation of Australian Astrologers (Dip Astro (FAA)), is a qualified Australian Bush Flower Essence practitioner, Reiki Master and Meditation Facilitator. She is currently studying for an Advanced Diploma in Naturopathy and enjoys walking in the mornings, and meditating regularly. She also brews her own beer.
