Why I love to teach:
It's a pleasure being part of Atwea College (WEA) which has been successfully teaching a variety of foreign languages to the local community for more than 25 years.
French is the language of the troubadours, diplomacy, science - think Louis Pasteur, the Ariane rocket, Concorde. It has a long history associated with agriculture, wine, revolution, WWI allies, WWII resistance, architecture and tourism.
In learning French you will join millions of people across many countries speaking this language, not only in France. This includes our Pacific neighbours New Caledonia and Tahiti.
My teaching style:
I focus on helping the learner to speak and understand French right from the start. In French Beginners find out how a minimum of French can take you a long way, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Then build on this in French Intermediate and Continuing.
My experience:
I have 25 years’ experience in teaching French to adults as an award winning tutor. I have conducted courses for travellers in French customs/culture and travelling within France; and I have enjoyed leading a guided WEA tour to France.
My qualifications:
My qualifications include university degrees in French and teaching.
