Stephen Barry

Resume

Stephen has had two successful photographic exhibitions his first in 2003 titles SIRENS. This was a collection of his fine art black and white nudes.
The other exhibition in 2012 was in conjunction with one of his former students, photographer Kaz Thorpe. The exhibition titled EMERGENCE was a collection of photographic works that spread over a decade it included many of his award winning prints.

Qualifications:

Accredited Photographer with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography

Experience:

Principal tutor for The Hunter Community College before it closed at the end of 2011. Many of his students have gone on to become professional photographers.

Achievements:

He has been awarded 20 National and State Awards in Photography which includes highest scoring print for NSW and runner up Creative Photographer of the year. His other achievements are winning the Dobell Landscape Photography Competition.

Teaching Style:

He delivers a professional and informative class passing on a wealth of knowledge to help participants learn whilst maintaining a relaxed and easy going class environment.
