• B.A. Degree in Journalism and Media Studies from Griffith College, Ireland.• B.A. Degree in Public Administration from the University of Limerick, Ireland.
• Masters in Social Change & Development at the University of Newcastle
Keith has worked in the grants sector in Ireland as part of Student Administration at the University of Limerick, evaluating and processing student grant applications to local government. He also assessed and determined student scholarships and grants as part of the funding body of the University of Limerick Foundation.
Keith has been involved in several Research Grant Applications on behalf of Faculty at the University of Limerick and worked in the grants sector in Australia, as Grants Officer for Cessnock City Council from May 2008 to November 2009.
Keith’s main responsibilities were:
• Working with all sectors of the community, sourcing grant funding.
• Working within council identifying project funding from state and federal government and philanthropic sources.
• Working on Hunter regional projects to enhance the community through public and private sector funding and
• utilising regional resources such as the University of Newcastle and Coal & Allied.
Keith has consulted with a number of community groups, not-for-profits, charities, sporting clubs, environmental groups, international aid agencies and chambers of commerce on the Central Coast and Hunter regions of NSW and in the Sydney metro area.
He has also taught Grant Writing Workshops at Central Coast Community College and Tuggerah Lakes Community College, Northern Lakes Chamber of Commerce, Newcastle City Council, Holroyd City Council, Pittwater Council, City of Ryde Council and the University of Sydney.
Keith has presented several workshops on Corporate Social Responsibility to several business groupings and corporate ( Fuji Xerox, AMP, Optus) in the Sydney metro area.
