After working in the coal mining sector for 10 years, Mark completed post graduate studies in Financial Markets and Economics. Mark has then spent the last 15 years working as a retail Equity and Derivatives Advisor.

Qualifications:

• BScience – University of Newcastle
• Diploma Of Financial Markets - Australian Securities Institute Australia
• Level 1 and 2 Derivatives Accredited Advisor – ASX

Experience:

• 1991 – 2001: Working in coal mining sector as a Geologist / Laboratory Manager.
• 2001- Present: Retail Equity and Derivatives Advisor.

Achievements:

Managing a coal testing laboratory in the Hunter Valley
Assisting clients with their financial requirements for the last 15 years.

Teaching Style:

Trying to gauge students' level of understanding and requirements before class starts.
Classes being as relaxed as possible and getting students to ask as many questions as possible.

Enjoys staying fit with hockey, swimming and gym.

The ASX Exchange Traded Option (ETO) class is aimed at giving students some basic knowledge of call and put options, their main characteristics and how to utilse them to optimise an investment portfolio.
