Love paddling and found Outrigger paddling provides the best scope for adventure an adrenaline buzz, fitness and stress relief, wish I found this sport earlier in life and show others this opportunity.
Started paddle sports in a Dragon Boat 2021 achieved State and national rep squads bought a Outrigger 2003 to cross train to improve my paddling skills progressing five times in the Aus world rep squad and world club squad achieving overall medals of all colors Since 2014 semi-retired just do outrigging for fitness and a little competition in outrigging I have done a number of Marathons, six Hawkesbury classics 111K, one Murry Marathon 404K
Started paddling late in life to overcome fatigue from major surgery which cost me my balance, hearing (in one ear) and a few other physical problems, and found a sport I had a ability for, it has played a major roll in overcoming the legacy health problems and has pushed back the age related issues of the seniors age group.
I have 20 years’ experience have done basic level coaching qualification for working with children after school activities also attended many personal coaching clinics
It is important as with any sport to learn the correct techniques limitations and attitude in a potential lifelong sport
