Learn
how to create beautiful seamless repeating patterns for textiles and other products.
using analogue and digital techniques you will learn how to play with different design styles and repeat pattern methods to create a textile design that is 'print ready' and can be used to print onto fabric or other materials.
You will be supplied with a list of digital printing companies and instructions, where you can take the next step and select your base fabric and have your design printed and shipped to you to then turn into a special garment, or products such as home furnishings. * please note that the textile fabric printing cost is not included in this course.
Delivery
Face to face.
For initial design inspiration, we will take in Newcastle's unique landmarks through a field trip discovering what makes Newcastle special.
Fees
Course enrolment must be accompanied by a fee; we are unable to hold places for people or accept deposits on Lifestyle courses. Once enrolment is completed students will receive a course confirmation either in writing or by email. This course confirmation constitutes a receipt.
Parking fees may apply at some venues.

Enrolment
To ensure resources are ready for you at the start of your course, we ask you ideally enrol at least one week before the course commences.
Confirmation
Please check your confirmation letter to ensure you have the correct time, date and location of your course as well as any necessary requirements. There is a room directory located at each venue directing you to your classroom.
Bring With You
- Procreate on iPad *optional or access to Adobe Illustrator AI
- Drawing materials (sketch book, pencils, etc)
- Camera or phone for field trip
- Scissors
- Sticky Tape
- In week 2 there is a walking field trip to draw and photograph unique landmarks in Newcastle. Please advise of accessibility access if required.
- Some basic computer knowledge to use design software –Adobe Illustrator (AI Mac or PC) or Procreate (iPad)

Cancellation
All courses need a minimum number of students to run ("we try our hardest to get those") . If your course does not have enough students it will be cancelled before the commencement and you will be informed.
